We're just beginning Wayne Thiebaud here, and so I particularly noticed the cake above. Is it painting? or chalk pastels? Or...? Are the white outlines (a nice touch) oil pastel?

ReplyDeleteChecked w/my colleague - good eyes! It was done in oil pastel. I've done Thibaud w/2nd graders & tempera but I liked the finished look of this more - especially the fancy cake stand...
ReplyDeleteWas I supposed to slip you a $20? I see a lot of Tarver art projects. Thanks! Now that I'm feeling better, I need to go take a better look at all the work. I love how so many of us do Thiebaud projects in our own way. No two alike!
